First Amelija's picnic

My friend has a beautiful daughter Amelija. Not long ago we celebrated her first birthday in a small circle of closest friends with their families.
Amelija was enjoying herself
We went to Vilnius Botanical Garden for a birthday picnic. Beautiful place, many plants, gorgeous flowers. They have the largest and most impressive collections of rhododendrons, lilacs, lianas, peonies, dahlias in Lithuania.

We spread some outdoor cushions on blankets and grass. I made a reusable foam picnic table which was great to put our snacks on whilst keeping our picnicware costs low and easy to transfer.

Instead of a birthday cake, we made Amelija some cupcakes. It was the first time she had sweets so you can imagine her reaction after experiencing the taste!.. We, of course, made sure there were some vegetables and fruit to snack on after an introductory short delight of cupcakes. A linen bib sewed and cross stitched personally for the birthday girl proved to be very useful. She enjoyed her food greatly but managed to keep her dress clean and neat.

Some of us enjoyed the horse ride... for the first time. This lovely lady-horse was very patient with us. She is a beautiful beautiful creature. Regrettably I forgot her name as I felt so tense as well as overwhelmed to finally riding a horse.  Great experience!
Our birthday girl didn't enjoy a real horse ride this time but she had her very own a wooden one to play with.

We had a lovely birthday afternoon. I hope you all have a wonderful week!
