The crisp air is turning chilly. I’m pulling out the wrist warmers to accessorize my outfit and get the needed warmth. They are practical and stylish and add a splash of colour to the outfit and complete the look. In fact, the wrist warmers enjoyed the popularity across the Europe in the 19th century and were worn for practical reasons only. The sleeves were so wide back then that the cold spread to the arms therefore the wrist warmers were the ones to keep them warm. Today the wrist warmers are back to fashion and used as part of national costumes, as a new form of art and as fashionable accessory. Wrist warmers are loved equally by young fashionable women and charming elderly ladies.
